Capacity and Capability Report
The capacity to build more homes is already within New Zealand, instead of overseas, new research from PrefabNZ shows.
Instead of shipping in from abroad, the PrefabNZ ‘Capacity & Capability’ report demonstrates that Kiwi-based housing manufacturing firms and construction companies can deliver for KiwiBuild using offsite methods. -

The PrefabNZ Good Offsite Guide: a compilation of regulatory perspectives on building consenting to assist in getting your great offsite projects off the ground. PrefabNZ Members told us that dealing with building consent regulation was one of their top-three bug-bears, so we listened. The great team at PrefabNZ scoured the country searching for solutions and have developed The Good Offsite Guide launched at CoLab 2018.

“Women are the answer to New Zealand’s skilled worker shortage.” Pamela Bell, CEO PrefabNZ. New Zealand has a shortage of skilled workers and this problem will only get worse. Statistics New Zealand estimates a growth in employment of 107,800 jobs in primary industries, manufacturing and construction by 2023. It is the skilled jobs within these areas which will see the biggest growth. Women are the untapped workforce able to fill the future skilled worker shortage.
