Chris Moller completng the click-raft at INEX

PrefabNZ was the main attraction at the IN-EX design expo with Life Member Chris Moller presenting and two product displays; the UNIpod and a click-raft prototype. All proved winners for their crowd draw to the expo in Auckland on 31 March - 2 April

Fog related travel delays didn't stop the PrefabNZ team from being ready at 9:00am at IN-EX interior and exterior design expo, which brought specifiers, landscape designers, building officials, developers and commercial building owners to the sea of displays at The Cloud.

PrefabNZ had two displays, UNIpod and the click-raft, both winners of innovative design and both displays were for sale via trademe auctions.

There was an impressive programme of free workshops some with CPD points – many presented by PrefabNZ Partners.

Chris Moller, cma-u.com PrefabNZ Board Member, Life Member and well known TV host delivered Saturday’s workshop – How to make the most out of your project. It was inspiring to meet Chris's clients and hear about their projects using click-raft.

Vikram of Makers of Architecture converted land owners to build using the click-raft concept. Makers Fabrication manufactured the click-raft panels using ABODO Vulcan + cladding, PSP twin wall polycarbonate products were on the outer skin to the click-raft. The click-raft prototype has now found a new home in Ohakune - we're looking forward to seeing the outcome of the new owner's project.

UNIpod, First Light Studio's winning design prototype was sold - it will be utilised at the central hub of a WikiHouse in Central Wellington – watch this space for project updates!

PrefabNZ could not have displayed the click-raft without the huge help of Yusef Patel and final year Architecture students from UNITEC, Whilst Stanleys and Keith Hay Homes were instrumental in the UNIpod display- Thank you whanau!
