Microsoft's Home of the Future
June 2012
Microsoft’s “Home of the Future” was built at its head office in Redmond, Washington – features include a palm scan to open the front door and a fridge that allows you to check its contents while out shopping.
"Microsoft's full-scale model home of the future may seem like science fiction, but interactive bedrooms, dishes that charge cellphones, sensors that notify you when plants need water, and kitchen counters that read your recipes may be close to reality in a world where social and interactive technology moves at lightning speed."
We mentioned this home in the PrefabNZ June news - now you can take a virtual tour of the home and see what makes this house so futuristic.
