Nomination for PrefabNZ Board: Greg Pollock
Greg Pollock has 21 years’ business experience working in a range of sectors from town planning to conflict resolution and the property sector. He has recently completed four years as CEO at FairWay Resolution Limited with $20m turnover, approximately 100 staff, and grew significantly in both revenue and profitability during Greg’s successful tenure. This included establishing services working for the construction sector to improve the way builders engage with customers and resolve conflict. He has recently started his own business investing in pre-fabricated small homes.
Prior to that, Greg had various senior leadership roles at Beca, where his skills and experience in town planning lead to many successful client engagements in city infrastructure, community, and strategy arenas. He has a strong understanding of public policy, and the risks and challenges for business associated with poor regulation.
Greg has previously served on several commercial and not for profit Boards, including the NZ Property Council (Wellington), and the New Zealand Planning Institute and Dispute Resolution Services Ltd, He is a member of the Institute of Directors and has a Certificate in Company Direction.
Since leaving his CEO role last year, Greg has established his own consulting company. More importantly, he has also been investing in developing his own prefabricated and modular building, working with architects, designers and others to establish a start-up business. He is currently developing that business with a particular focus on smaller first homes. He has a real interest in prefabrication, urban growth and city building issues generally.
