Parkd has developed a lightweight modular construction system it says offers a cheaper and quicker system to erect temporary and permanent carparks up to six levels high.The modular aspect of Parkd’s system and minimising the structural weight provides the ability to relocate the car park or adapt it to parking demands by adding or subtracting to the structural levels. Peter McUtchen, a structural engineer focuses on research and development for Parkd. Using reusable concrete components, Parkd’s modular carparks save time and costs, while mitigating environmental burdens that come with the onsite engineering of today’s car parks.

About Peter

Peter’s expertise and experience in both the design, management and construction of car parks and building structures has supported his recent appointment as Managing Director of Parkd Ltd. His understanding of structural and construction efficiencies along with the design of complex post-tensioned structures has led to the development of a unique and innovative modular car park design solution that now forms the basis of the Parkd structural system.

Peter’s passion for developing industry wide best practice and education in the use of concrete, lead to his appointment as West Australian President of the Concrete Institute of Australia where he continues to represent corporate partners and individuals working in the concrete industry.
