Innovation Bites: Warwick Quinn BCITO
This webinar is with Warwick Quinn from BCITO
Micro-credentials, or Managed Traineeships as BCITO refers to them, offer specialised recognition that reflects the increased segmentation of work in the industry.
Labour is always going to be needed and will never be replaced. However, their roles and the way they are expected to work will change.
“For every revolution of technology, the workforce doesn’t disappear. What happens is that they end up having to work in a different way. So what is happening in the industry is that on-site is a skilled labour force. But it is viewed as an unskilled labour force from a technology point of view. What is happening is we are doing more complex buildings. The skill is how you get the information to them and the acceptance of that skillforce on how to interpret this information” McNeils BAM International.
An easy to digest 15 presentation followed by a 25 minute opportunity to pose questions to our topic expert.
