Modular Design Handbook Roadshow

Modular Design Handbook Roadshow

The world-first Modular Design Handbook has been developed by Prof. James Murray-Parkes through the Modular Construction Codes Board (MCCB) under Monash University. The handbook offers practical design guidance and best practice for architects, engineers and designers either already working with offsite construction techniques or considering it in the future.

The handbook will be presented at PrefabNZ’s CoLab (March 7-9, Auckland) and EngineeringNZ’s Engineering :: Innovation (March 15-16, Wellington). Between those two events PrefabNZ, in collaboration with the WPMA, CHH WoodProducts and Unitec, will introduce Prof. James Murray-Parkes on a Roadshow to discover the Handbook and explore its relevance for designers, architects, engineers and all specifiers of offsite construction in New Zealand.

A key component of each event will be consultation and input for creating an NZ Good Offsite Guide that will sit alongside the Modular Design Handbook, to provide New Zealand specific guidance for the consent and compliance regulatory process.
