Salmond Architecture was a founding member of prefab NZ . Anne Salmond spoke at the first conference about High Performance Houses, and was interviewed for the Prefab exhibition and conference in New Plymouth.
Salmond Architecture designed one of the first SIP panel houses in NZ, completed in 2010. Salmond Architecture has since designed more than 30 HPH houses ,16 of these from prefabricated SIP panels.
Membership of Prefab NZ has provided information, support and contact with others committed to developing prefabricated construction in NZ and delivering its benefits.
Salmond Architecture is based in Wanaka in the Queenstown Lakes District. They are committed to designing high performance buildings that are sustainable over the long term, sympathetic with the landscape and appropriate in their context.
Salmond Architecture is involved in residential, commercial, retail and community architecture. Through a creative design process, they help clients achieve their vision for new projects whilst considering their responsibility to the wider context in which the buildings are placed. For example, getting involved in urban design and sustainable design at both a project and community level.
